Express FC suspended skipper Steven Luswata for participating in the Bayern tournament and causing defiance in the club camp. Luswata asserts that the club suspended him for demanding the club management to settle players salaries.

According to him he made the complaint basing on the money collected by the club during the save Express campaign.

“I was suspended by the club not because i did participate in the Bayern tournament but because I demanded the club management to pay players salaries. I did this basing on the monies that the club collected during the save Express campaign since the major reason for this was to help in the players welfare at the club.”

“I don’t think that was calling for defiance in camp but as the club captain I do believe i did something which was beneficial to the players.”

Luswata also added that some club officials don’t want people who openly talk about money.

“There are some top officials at the club who don’t want people who openly speak about issues regarding money. These are the same people who collected money to help in facilitation of the club but they don’t want to pay players and thus we continue crying over payments”.  he added.

According to sources close to the club Ronnie Kisekka was also suspended by the club for alleged match fixing.

The news comes when the Wankulukuku outfit is preparing to for the mouthwatering tie with fellow relegation threatened side Mbarara City on Wednesday 11th April 2018.
