Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Gadaffi FC will announce Steven Bogere as head coach.

Swift Sports can reliably confirm the former SC Villa coach will sign an employment contract of two years with the Soldier Boys.

Bogere has been a free agent following his departure at UPDF FC a side he left after guiding them back to the top flight in 2019 after falling out with his bosses.

In the prestigious Masaza Cup tournament, Bogere won the 2016 with Buddu and has also coached at Simba, SC Villa, Victoria University ( now defunct) and UPDF FC.

The former Uganda Cranes international is 1989 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup winner.

Bogere is a legend at SC Villa having been part of their greatest team that dominated Ugandan football in the early 90s. He also featured for Tobacco, Spear Motors and Nile FC.

Gadaffi FC gained top flight promotion after edging Proline FC 2-1 thanks to Ronald Bithum Nsumbiano and Frank Mulimi for the goals.
