Express Fc has today 11th, September, 2017 unveiled 21 new players ahead of the new season,among those unveiled include veterans Steven Bengo and Dan Sserunkuma Muzeyi.
Steven Bengo who played for record champions SC Villa, URA FC, Yanga FC in Tanzania and KCCA FC told www.swiftsportsug.com that,
“I am glad to join Express Fc, it is a great club with a big fan base and history and these are the reasons that influenced me to join the club. I have played at various clubs and have done tremendous things there and i plan to do the same here at Express Fc.”
On what he expects ahead of the new season and whether is ready to return to the national team,
“I won’t promise much, but we shall consider every game that comes our way since almost 80% of the team consists of new recruits. I have not yet retired from national team and when i receive a national team call up am ready to play, when times comes to retire from international football i will officially announce my retirement,” he concluded.
His new teammate Dan Muzeyi Sserunkuma also narrates why he made a move to Express Fc. This will be Sserunkuuma’s 2nd stint at Express and he has also played for Victors FC, Nairobi stars, Gor Mahia, Bandari FC, IR Tanger and Ulysses in Armenia. He said,
“I did not come to Express Fc because of money but i started my football career here and grew up supporting the same club, having a great attachment with this club i decided to return.” During the new season i promise to give the best and help the club have a great season.”
“Every team has prepared well in terms of squad strengthening but we also have a great team with a lot of quality players and ready to compete with the rest of the teams in the league,” said the striker.
The duo is to take part in the club’s opening game with Kirinya Jinja SSS Fc at Wankulukuku on Wednesday, 13th,2017
