SC Villa will host Vipers SC at Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku in the first leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinals

This is SC Villa’s only hope of silverware after finishing a disappointing 3rd in the Azam Uganda premier league

They will however have to find a solution to their nemesis Vipers SC, a team that has beaten them home and away in the league.

Reports coming in from the Villa camp indicate that there is a certain level if discontent that has resulted into some players like Lwesibawa facing suspension by the club, other circles confirm that the situation is now under control and the players are set to take on Vipers.

First choice goal keeper Samson Kirya has not trained with the team, since the 0-0 stalemate with Proline FC on Monday early this week. Samuel Kivumbi is expected to deputise for him in goal.

Vipers on the other hand are still in buoyant mood, only fatigue may be their handicap having laboured to beat UPDF FC on Friday to seal the league.

It’s indicated however that defensive kingpin Bashir Asiku and inform forward Milton Karisa may miss the game after accumulating 2 yellow cards. The rest of the squad are available for selection.

The return fixture will be played at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende between 30th and 31st May 2018
