Onduparaka FC vs URA FC
Date : Wednesday, 2nd May 2018
Venue : Greenlight stadium, Arua
Kick off : 4:30pm

Sam Ssimbwa will be in charge as URA FC coach for the first time when the tax collectors pay a long trip to the high-flying Onduparaka in Arua.

Ssimbwa replaced Paul Nkata last week on an interim basis in a bid to arrest URA FC’s alarming poor performance in the league.

He takes on an Onduparaka FC side that has won 3 of their last 6 league game under the tutelage of former URA FC skipper Simeon Masaba.

Onduparaka won their previous fixture with a 5-0 rout against Police FC at Namboole last Friday thanks to goals from Moses Ndawula, Hassan Muhamood, Ezra Bida and Viane Sekajugo who scored a brace.

URA FC were whitewashed 7-2 by a rampant KCCA FC side at Lugogo last Tuesday in their most recent match which led to the resignation of Paul Nkata.

The Arua outfit comfortably sit 4th on the table with 41 points from 26 games whereas URA FC are 9th with 31 points collected from the same number of games.

FORM GUIDE
Onduparaka : WDDWW
URA FC : LDWLD

The previous 3 meetings between the two have seen either sides winning once and drawing the other. Onduparaka won the most recent meeting 1-0 in the first round of the ongoing season courtesy of a Viane Sekajugo strike.

The tax collectors boast of an inferior record on the road this season having lost 9 of their 13 games away from home, winning and drawing twice. On contrast, Onduparaka have won and drawn 6 times in the 13 games they have hosted in Arua, losing only once to SC Villa.

Simeon Masaba will look up to the attacking duo of Ceaser Okhuti and Viane Sekajugo for inspiration. The two have produced 14 goals so far.

Masaba comes into this tie with an injury free squad and gladly welcomes midfielder Rajab Kakooza back into the fold.

He is expected to name an unchanged back line that features Aggrey Kirya, Rashid Okocha, Hassan Muhamood and captain Rashid Toha to curb URA’s offensive options.

Former Onduparaka goalkeeper Alionzi Nafian and Patrick Mboowa are the notable exclusions in URA’s match day 18-man squad.

URA Squad
Mathias Muwanga, Shadrack Sebulime, Fred Okot, Jimmy Kulaba, Brian Majwega, Saidi Kyeyune, Shafik Kagimu, Julius Mutyaba, Herman Wasswa, Deboss Kalama, Moses Seruyidde, Charles Ssempa, Hood Mulikyi, Nicholas Kagaba, Allan Munaaba, Dickson Kigongo, Peter Lwasa and Derrick Ochen

Ssimbwa will greatly rely on the crafty attacking players in Shafik Kagimu, Moses Seruyidde, Saidi Kyeyune and Nicholas Kagaba to earn any positive result.

A win for the Caterpillars will consolidate their stay in the 4th position with 44 points whereas victory for URA FC can see them move to as far as the 7th place with 34 points.
