Ssimbwa, Anaku win Pilsner’s Best of March

URA FC head coach Sam Ssimba and KCCA FC forward Sadat Anaku have been named Plisner coach and player of the month of March respectively.

The duo was awarded at the press conference held at Kati Kati Restaurant on Thursday morning.

Ssimbwa beat Express FC’s Wasswa Bbosa and Abbey Kikomeko of Busoga United to the coach of the month accolade.

During the month, URA FC won all the five matches they played and garnered 15 points.

Ssimbwa thanked the organisers for recognising him

” I thank the sponsors for the award and this has given me more courage to work hard. I also thank my players, club management and technical staff for the support.”

For player of the month, Anaku beat URA FC’ Steven Mukwala and Shaka Ssozi of Busoga United.

The KCCA FC striker netted six goals during the month of March.

Anaku dedicated the award to former KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi

“This award will motivate me work hard and improve on my scoring as well helping the team. I dedicate the award to coach Mike Mutebi since he has groomed me from the junior team to the senior team.”

Ssimbwa and Anaku each received an accolade and cash prize of Shs1M from the monthly Sponsors Plisner.
