Sserunkuma goes AWOL, misses Vipers training

The future of striker Dan Sserunkuma at Vipers SC has been thrown into uncertainty after missing training sessions in the previous days.

Swift Sports understands that, the veteran striker traveled to Kenya without the club’s permission and has missed training for the previous couple of days without the club’s permission. This looks like, he could be on his way out of the club.

Vipers have already boosted their striking line with new recruits Lawrence Tezikya (Busoga United) and former AS Vita and Dauphin Noir forward Cesar Manzoki Lobi.

Sserunkuma joined Vipers from Express FC in February 2018 after scoring six goals for the “Mukwano Gwabangi”. He went on to score 11 goals as Kitende outfit clinched the 2017/18 Uganda Premier League title.

Sserunkuma’s current contract at the four time Uganda Premier League champions expires in June 2021.

He has played for several clubs including Victors FC, Gor Mahia, Nairobi Stars among others.
