Gladys ZAWEDDE

5th placed Arua Hill SC play host to relegation threatened Soltilo Bright Stars at Barifa Stadium in Arua.

The first meeting between the two sides in the first round ended in a barren draw at Kavumba.

Arua Hill SC currently have 33 points from 20 games and occupy one of the top five places while playing their debut season in the UPL.

Soltilo Bright Stars on the other hand have 19 points from the same number of games and sit in the 13th position.

The hosts played to a one all stalemate in their previous game against UPDF in Bombo that required a late equalizer from substitute Steven Kabuye.

The visitors smiled to a comprehensive 3-0 victory against BUL FC at Kavumba thanks to Joseph Janjali, Jungu Methodius and Ibrahim Kasinde.

Francis Mugerwa who acts as one of Livingstone Mbabazi’s immediate assistants at Arua Hill SC is positive about the game following a positive response from the players.

“Players have positively responded to the training and we hope for the best. In our last game there was lack of concentration and poor communication.”

Mugerwa said

Arua Hill SC will only miss midfielder Ivan Eyam who is out due to an injury.

Paul Kiwanuka is blessed to have his squad fully fit for selection with no injury concerns and says he expects a good game from his charges,

“We thank God for enabling us travel safely in Arua, good enough our players are in good shape and more than ready with no injury concerns,”

“We are putting the last win against BUL FC behind our backs so we shall handle Arua Hill SC in a different way.”

Kiwanuka said

Victory will lift Arua Hill SC move to the fourth position replacing BUL FC who play later on Friday.

Kiwanuka’s charges have a chance to temporarily move to the 11th position in case of any kind of victory.
