Shamuran has been a member of the Soltilo Bright Stars reserve and Junior teams.

He was a back up for Simon Tamale who was the only senior team goalkeeper available in the closing half of the season when injuries sidelined Benson Wegima and first choice goalkeeper Godwin Buule Kiwanuka.
The club’s Technical Director Ian Mutenda says the technical team was impressed by Kamya’s abilities despite his young age.
” We worked closely with Shamuran last season and were extremely impressed with his natural ability as a goalkeeper hence his early intergration into the first team. We know that this is the beginning of great things for both Shamuran and this club”
The budding shot stopper has previously represented Uganda at the U-17 level while playing for Soltilo Bright Stars Junior team.
Last year, Kamya played for Mawokota in the Airtel Masaza Cup which was played at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
Bright Stars have so far signed three new players including Japanese midfielder Kazuto Kushida.
Former Kigezi HomeBoyz midfielder Fiat Cleophas and Meddie Kyeyune are the other signings.
