She Corporates captain and custodian Vanessa Karungi supports FUFA’s decision to declare the inaugural edition of the FUFA Women Super League null and void.

Karungi also expects her club to compete when football does return next season.

“Its absurd that the league was canceled due to global pandemic but we all know health is the most important thing for every human.” I agree with the Federation’s decision to call off the league due to unavoidable circumstances.”

She says.

We had gained momentum before the league was called off due to the deadly coronavirus pandemic but am confident we are to correct out mistakes and I expect a strong come back next season.”

Before the FUFA Women Super league was cancelled, She Corporates were fourth on the table with 10 points they had garnered in 8 games.

Kawempe Muslim were table leaders with 17 points collected from seven games played.

Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga and Masindi’s Lady Doves were second and third respectively with only four points adrift of Kawempe.

The 2020/21 FUFA Women Super League is expected to have 10 clubs unlike the inaugural edition that had eight.

Vanessa Karungi kept three clean sheets and conceded five goals in the eight Fufa Women Super League games she played.
