Shaban, Muwanga out as Bright Stars strive for safety from Onduparaka visit

Soltilo Bright Stars can secure league safety if they manage to win in Onduparaka and Police fail to secure all three points against BUL at Lugogo.

Bright Stars currently sit 12th on the table with 30 points while their hosts Onduparaka are 9th with 34 points.

Both teams come into the encounter having lost their most recent two league fixtures.

Onduparaka fell to Vipers and most recently lost 3-0 to their West Nile rivals Arua Hill.

Bright Stars lost 1-0 to KCCA before crushing to a 3-1 defeat against URA FC at Ndejje.

Team News

Onduparaka will be without their influential striker and skipper Shaban Muhammad who is suspended due to accumulated yellows.

Goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga is ruled out by malaria while Rashid Yakini also has accumulated yellow cards.

John Rogers got sent off in the last game against Arua Hill whereas Agau Rashid and Rashid Okocha remain out due lengthy injury and suspension respectively.

Bright Stars will be without midfielder Cleophus Fiat who got sent off during the defeat against URA.

Simon Ssemayange has a muscle injury while the duo of James Angu and Mathias Okwalinga remains out of action due to knee injuries.

Goalkeeper Hassan Matovu has an ankle injury, defender Allan Katwe and midfielder Kazuto Kushida didn’t travel with the team.
