Serunkuma penalty lifts Tooro United over Maroons at Buhinga

Tooro United were 1-0 victors over George Best Nsimbe’s Maroons FC at Buhinga grounds in Fort Portal.

Dazzling winger Simon Serunkuma scored the solitary goal to ensure Wasswa Bbosa’s coached men record their second successive home win at Buhinga.

Serunkuma flawlessly converted from the spot following Sylvester Okello’s foul on Allan Kayiwa in the 10th minute of the game.

Maroons FC’s roving right back was another player booked on the evening in the 32nd minute of the game.

Nsimbe threw on Alex Wogalo, Ronald Orombi and Sydney Chika is pursuit for the leveler but his changes were futile at the end of the proceedings.

Bbosa bought on Timothy Musinguzi and Baker Buyala for Steven Omvia and the goal scorer Serunkuma.

Gigantic defender Mike Kawooya was named the Pilsner man of the match on account of his outstanding performance throughout the game.

The narrow win however leaves Tooro United in the 11th on the table with 13 points while the Warders slip to the 13th place.

Next on card for Tooro United will be a trip to Kitende to face Vipers on Saturday 28th December while Maroons will visit Ndejje University on the same day.
