SC Villa will be without two influential midfielders Ronald Sekiganda and Ali Bayo for their trip to Mbarara city as they hope to build a winning momentum by recording a successive victory for the first time this season.
The injury that rules Sekiganda out of the match was picked from the team’s preparation for the trip last evening. He joins Ali Bayo on the treatment table after he was stretchered off in the defeat to BUL.
The Ankole Lions have always proved to be Villa’s boggy side especially while playing at home.
From the three visits to Mbarara, Villa have not managed a single victory but only managed a point and suffered two defeats.
Overall however, the two teams have faced off 7 times but the lion’s share of victories has been taken by Villa with four, and Mbarara city winning twice.
Despite playing two games less, Villa are level on points with Mbarara city having amassed 7 apiece with the same goal difference of -1.
Victory for either side will see them leap to the top half of the the log.
Jasper Aheebwa’s return gives Hussein Mbalangu more selection dilemmas as his full squad is available for selection.
For Petros Koukouras, young winger Oscar Mawa will serve his second and final suspension match of the red card he obtained against BUL and his place will be filled by Nicholas Kabonge who recovers from injury.
