Sekajugo to the rescue as 10 man Wakiso snatch a point from Busoga United

Busoga United were on the verge of completing a remarkable double over Wakiso Giants had it not been for a late show show from star man Viane Sekajugo.

The diminutive striker was found in the right place at the right time to save his team’s blushes after falling down to 10 men.

Defender Hassana Wasswa Dazo had revieved matching orders in the 75th minute after a harsh challenge on Sharif Kimbowa which earned him a second yellow card.

Wasswa had already been cautioned in the 25th minute of the first period.

Both teams were in desperate need of winning the 3 points but Busoga showed more intent by drawing first blood in the 15th minute through Sharif Kimbowa.

His goal was a result a good team work build up that was orchestrated by young Isma Mugulusi and delivered by Franco Onen to Kimbowa who headed home.

From then on, both teams attacked in equal measure until the visitors got reduced to 10 men in the 75th minute.

They were destined for a 7th loss of the season but Sekajugo pounced on an assist from striker partner Ivan Bogere to win an unlikely point for Wakiso.

The point earned keeps Busoga hunging in 13th place with 26 points, 6 above 14th placed Kyetume.

Wakiso Giants also move to 27 points and mantain 9th place. They will host Kitara FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu on 15th of May whereas Busoga will make a short trip to Tororo to face MYDA on the same date
