Defending Champions Vipers SC and Wakiso Giants played out to a grim stalemate at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Saturday

Muhammad Shaban who was making his Vipers debut gave the visitors an early lead with a superb header, but it failed to knock the stuffing out of Douglas Bamweyana’s side, who launched a reply in the second half when Viane Ssekajugo levelled matters.

Despite finishing the first half leading in possession, the hosts failed to create clear chances.

Early in the second period, winger Ibrahim Orit nearly doubled Vipers advantage but was denied by Wakiso custodian Derrick Emukule.
