URA FC have another glorious chance to leapfrog Vipers and claim the table summit when they visit Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba.

The tax collectors will be aiming to take advantage of Vipers’ 1-0 defeat to Express and go at least three points clear.

URA come into this encounter second on the table with 43 points, tied with Vipers who have already played a game more.

They face a daunting task to overcome the most in-form team in the league Soltilo Bright Stars who have won all their last four league games.

The Baker Mbowa coached charges are 7th on the table with 29 points and come into this tough encounter after beating 3rd placed Express 2-1 at the same ground.

Ronald Sempala is still out injured for Baker Mbowa’s men. He had a superb start to the season

URA will have no more room for error after failing to claim the top of the table last week when they drew goalless with SC Villa a day after Vipers were held by Wakiso Giants.

Sam Ssimbwa will expect the much needed inspiration from his skipper Shafik Kagimu and his front strikers Cromwell Rwothomio and Steven Dese Mukwala.

He will however need his backline to take care of Soltilo Bright Stars’ forward line that is led by Sam Ssekamatte who has now scored nine league goals as well as Joseph Akandwanaho (seven goals) and Joseph Janjali.

Ssimbwa welcomes back Moses Sseruyidde Kinye from injury and Joackiam Ojera who was on a compassionate leave following the death of his uncle.

Soltilo Bright Stars will continue life without their first choice goalkeepers Edwin Buule Kiwanuka and Benson Wegima who are both injured. Simon Tamale remains the alright choice in between the sticks.

Andrew Kaggwa returns from suspension while Nvule Jamir Kisitu, Hamis Gabite, Ronald Ssempala and Sam Ssekitto remain sidelined by injury.

The previous 16 meetings between both sides have been dominated by seven draws with URA managing six wins and Soltilo Bright Stars winning on only three occasions.

The most recent meeting ended 0-0 in the first round at Ndejje’s Arena of Visions.
