SC Villa’s Kaziba happy with the team spirit, urges them to score more.

SC Villa head coach Edwardo Kaziba has expressed delight at his team fighting spirit after their hard grilled win over Bright stars at Bbombo Barracks grounds.

SC Villa fought hard to hold on to Derrick Ndahiro’s early goal to register their 6th win of the season and subsequently stretch their unbeaten run to 11 games.


“I am happy with my team, we scored early and managed to contain the pressure that was exerted on us by Bright stars”

“We are on a good run and expect to continue with the fine form and maintain our top position. We have to score more goals and relieve pressure off ourselves”.

Despite being one of the high scoring teams, SC Villa’s strikers are struggling for form with Faisal Muwawu scoring only once this term. Bashir Mutanda is still injured and Fahad Bardiro only had his debut yesterday.

” It doest worry me that my target men aren’t scoring enough because we get goals from all the departments. We are also glad for Fahad’s addition and we hope he will improve us.”

SC Villa host BUL in their next fixture , a team they aspire to beat and take their position on the log.

“Definitely we can’t wait to face BUL, we hope to beat them ad give our self a big chance to move up. We are ready for them.

BUL beat Mbarara city 3-0 at Bugembe to maintain their grip on 2nd position with 19 points. SC Villa are 2nd with 17 points and a game in hand.

They face off on Wednesday 13th at Bombo Barracks grounds.
