SC VILLA 0-1 BUSOGA UNITED

Defender Moses Kiggundu scored in his own net in the 76th minute to gift Busoga United with a second successive win in the second round of the current season while his side suffered a third successive loss.

David Owori and Nicholas Kabonge had first clear opportunities to score for the home side but fired wide.

Lawrence Tezikya and David Bagoole kept pushing for a break through for the visitors in vain despite their brilliancy going forward and by halftime it was still a barren game.

17 minutes into the second half, Edward Kaziba introduced Bashir Mutanda for Ronald Magwali but even then his men could not break the deadlock.

At 76 minutes, SC Villa defender Moses Kiggundu scored in the negative to gift the Jinja based side with a lead.

SC Villa could not find an equaliser despite pushing hard to pick atleast a point by full-time.

Busoga United now sit 6th on the log with 24 points while SC Villa remain 5th with 27 points.

In their next game, the Jinja based side will host Mbarara City while SC Villa will travel to Kitende to visit Vipers SC.
