After the departure of strikers Emmanuel Okwi and Umar Kasumba to Simba SC and Sofapaka FC respectively, SC Villa are ready to splash the cash on Proline FC hotshot Nelson Ssenkatuka to fill the void.
Swift Sports sources understand that representatives of the player and SC Villa have reached a concession pending personal terms, the Jogoos expect to unveil the forward together with the other new recruits before the pre season training opens.
Ssenkatuka who joined Proline Fc from KCCA FC last year, scored 11 league goals and helped Proline finish eighth in the league.
The former Hope Doves striker was also the top scorer in the Bika Football tournament in 2015 with Mbogo clan despite losing 2-1 to Mmamba Gabunga in the final.
SC Villa are also believed to have held negotiations with midfielder Hakim Ssenkumba about a possible deal. Hakim Ssenkumba spent the last part of 2016/17 at Police fc.
The 16 time league champions have so far signed Simon Sserunkuma, Musa Mukasa, Allan Kyambadde, George Senkaaba, Mahad Yaya Kakooza and goal keeper Sanon Mulabi.
Villa will begin pre-season training early next week ahead of the new season.
