SC Villa have officially confirmed the signing of Synergy FC holding midfielder Nicholas Kasozi on a 2 year deal.
He was instrumental in helping the Masaka based club Synergy Fc to a promotional play off final lost to 2-1 to Mbarara City.
Kasozi managed 6 goals in the Big league for Synergy FC and he is looking forward to improving his grades at Villa.
Several clubs including KCCA , Proline and URA have all been interested in his signature but Villa has finally captured their man.
“It a pleasure that i have joined Villa, though I had many suiters but Villa were more serious and they also presented a big project being built and I am proud to be part of it.”
“Villa is a great team that every player in the country would yearn to play for, and its hard to say no to them. ” Said the young midfielder.
He continued by thanking his former employers of Synergy FC,
” I thank everyone at Synergy FC from the fans, the coaches and directors at this club for the support rendered towards my career, i leave but my heart will always be at Synergy and wish them well. He added,
“Synergy has given me exposure and helped me to a national team call during the CHAN preparations against South Sudan though I missed out the starting eleven at home. I am currently out of camp due to an injury.”
He joins other new recruits at Villa park and these include; Mahad Kakooza,Allan Kyambadde, Musa Mukasa,Simon Sserunkuma, George Ssenkaba and Dennis Iguma.
