SC Villa has put to end the speculation concerning Allan Kyambadde’s destination that started two weeks ago.
The midfielder has penned a two year contract to join Uganda’s most successful club SC Villa from Vipers SC.
Kyambadde who was on loan at Express from Vipers has been a free agent after his contract expired this summer. He joined Vipers from Express on a three year deal in 2014 after being crowned MVP and he has spent his final year at Express FC on loan from the Kitende based side.
Kyambadde scored the all important goal against SC Villa at Wankulukuku to ensure that Express secured a sweet revenge against their city rivals after having lost narrowly 3-2 at Namboole in the 1st leg
In a delighted and excited mood, Kyambadde said,
“Am so glad to join SC Villa and link up again with my former coach Wasswa Bbosa. Our major target in the coming season is to win the league title and am determined to deliver for my new club.”
SC Villa coach Bbosa says, “Allan is a gifted player, one of the best playmakers in Uganda, we want to make our transfer business as early as possible before we start training next month.”
Kyambadde’s move means that Express has lost four of it’s starters for last season to perennial rivals SC Villa. He joins a list that includes Simon Sserunkuma, Mahad Kakooza and Musa Mukasa.
Villa has also captured the signatures of goalkeeper Sanon Mulabi from Agape SS and George Ssenkaaba from Kirinya Jinja SS
It is also believed that Villa are also interested in signing Isaac Kirabira from KCCA and are set to win the race for the signature of KCCA defensive midfielder Ivan Ntege. URA is also interested in signing the midfielder but our sources understand that Ntege fancies a move to Villa park than Lugazi.
