SC Villa shocked by minnows as BUL eject Mbarara city

Mbarara City and SC Villa have become the first two top flight teams to drop out of the round of 32 after losing to Jinja based club BUL FC and regional side Nkambi Coffee respectively.

SC Villa fell to 2nd half goals and they failed to recover from this scare.

Mbarara City and BUL played to an entertaining stalemate which was decided on penalties.

Pistis Barenge had put Mbarara City FC in the lead in the 79th minute.

Ten minutes later James Otim found the back of the net through a long range shot to put the game to level.

James Otim, Daniel Shabena, Deogracious Ojok, Villa Oromchan and Farouk Banga converted the penalties for BUL FC.

Ivan Eyam, Asuman Alishe, Paul Mucurezi and converted their penalties while Hilary Mukundane missed his penalty shoot to deny his side chance making it to the round of 16.

In the other games, Police FC also edged Calvary FC on penalties after playing to a barren stalemate.

Davis Mutebi made heroic saves from Kasim Thwalib and Saviour Anzukuvu’s efforts while Abdulrahuman Andima, Christopher Agotre and Vicent Andruga scored for Calvary FC.

Ibrahim Kibumba, Ashraf Mugume, Ronald Nyanzi and Sadat Kyambadde managed to convert their spots from the spot for Police FC while Samuel Kayongo fired wide.

BUL FC, Nkambi Coffee, Kitara FC, Police FC and Bukedea Town council join Vipers SC, Bright Stars, Onduparaka, URA, Kyetume FC on the round of 16.
