Mugulusi was one of the best performers in the league last season despite playing on 14 games for Busoga United.

He scored four goals, produced two assists and three Man of the match accolades to help Busoga United who had a dreadful season, to beat the drop when the league was abruptly ended.

Mugulusi is a young brother to BUL FC’s Ibrahim who played for SC Villa three seasons ago.

SC Villa have already signed Mugulusi’s Hippos teammate Kenneth Semakula from BUL FC on a three year deal.

Mugulusi is one of the biggest products from the FUFA Juniors League and was part of the Uganda U17 team The Cubs that played at the 2018 U-17 AFCON final tournament in Tanzania.

He graduated to the U-20 team and was a starring figure as the Uganda Hippos won silver at the U20 AFCON held in Mauritania early this year.

He made his debut on the senior team The Cranes last month as Uganda lost 3-2 to South Africa in a friendly game at the Orlando Stadium in South Africa.
