SC Villa are still in search for a victory in front of their home fans. The Jogoos have played 5 games at home, losing 2 ,drawing 3 and only managing 4 goals.

They hope to break this hoodoo against fierce rivals Express FC who are fresh from a morale boosting victory over title contenders KCCA FC.

Douglas Bamweyana was sacked by Express last season after a string of poor results and he is going to face them for the first time since.

Douglas Bamweyana predicts a tough but interesting match due to the tense atmosphere involved.

” It will be a fantastic atmosphere today, fantastic rivalry , brilliant football on show and we not only need to but also have every intention to come out on top”

SC Villa has bossed the last 7 meetings between the two rivals, having managed to win on 4 occasions, drawing twice and Express FC winning only once.

Defensive kingpin Savio Kabugo continues to be sidelined by injury, whereas midfielder Manko Kaweesa returned from a compassionate leave but may not make the match day squad.

Bashir Mutanda will look to extend his superb form, after scoring in each of the last 5 games for SC Villa. He is currently joint top scorer with 7 goals.

Ronald Mutebi has managed to shake off the rib injury that he sustained after the collision with KCCA’s Patrick Kaddu in their previous match at Wankulukuku.
