SC Villa record eleventh draw in stalemate with Police

Bashir Mutanda’s 25th minute goal from the spot ensured that SC Villa have now equalled URA as the teams to have drawn more games than anyone in the league. The two now have eleven draws out of the 21 games played so far.

The in form striker beat SC Villa’s defense alongside their goalkeeper Said Keni and put the ball at the back net to send the cops in an early lead and also extend his tally to 13 goals.

Bashir Mutanda then equalised through the spot when he was brought down in the goal area in the 25th minute.

Into the second period, both sides kept pushing for a winning goal but all in vain.

Charles Lwanga had a better opportunity to put Villa in the lead but his effort went to waste only a few moments before he was substituted.

Pius Kaggwa who was brought on to replace the injured Johnson Odongo had a few chances to restore the cops’ lead but all his efforts went to waste.

Ronald Nyanzi and Juma Balinnya also had a few chances to win it for Police but in vain.

In their next fixture, Villa will visit KCCA FC at the starTimes stadium in Lugogo while Police fc will visit Tooro United at Buhinga Stadium on Saturday, 2nd, March, 2018.
