Police FC and SC Villa played out to a 2-2 stalemate in a entertaining contest at the StarTimes Stadium on Monday evening.
Abdallah Mubiru’s men twice responded through Samson Kigozi and Fahad Kizito in either half and secured a share of the spoils against Edwardo Kaziba’s side.
Bashir Mutanda and Nicholas Kabonge scored for the record Uganda Champions.
Since 2013, this was the 10th draw in 14 meetings between the two sides.
Villa threatened to leave StarTimes Stadium with all three points and went ahead in the 15th minute when Mutanda headed in a Derrick Ndahiro free kick.
In the 42nd minute, Kigozi leveled matters, but Villa went back ahead at the stroke of halftime with Kabonge netting.
But the Cops hit back in away that the home fans would be proud of, when midfielder Kizito sensationally equalized with a superb left footed volley 10 minutes to normal play.
Villa are now third on the table with 34 points from 20 games while Police FC leapfrog Kyetume in 11th position with 22points.
The Cops next face Mbarara City at Bombo Barracks Grounds on Friday 7th February, 2020 whereas Villa will host Proline FC on Saturday at Mandela National Stadium.
