The Stanbic Uganda Cup draws for the quarter finals of the 2018 edition saw giants SC Villa draw against this year’s giant slayers Kampala Junior Team (KJT).

Responding to the these draws, KJT manager Mansoor Kabugo said it’s only a matter of time before another giant club is ousted by his team from this year’s competition.

“I can reliably confirm that another big club has reached it’s end in this year’s competition. People may look at us as under dogs but we are here for a reason and SC Villa must stand warned”. said Kabugo.

On his side, Paul Mukatabala the SC Villa assistant coach reacted towards Kabugo’s words saying his club is up for a double this time and there would be no room for mistakes against any opposition.

“We want a double this time, any opposition that stands in our way must face it rough. KJT has come a long way but not against us. We are here to win and we shall do exactly that”, said Mukatabala.

For starters, KJT ejected Uganda Premier League side URA FC in the round of 64, Arua Tigers in the round of 32 and in the round of 16 they defeated another Uganda Premier League side BUL FC.

SC Villa defeated Hope Doves in the round of 64 before ousting Bright stars in the round of 32 and ejecting Ndejje University in the round of 16 to reach the quarter finals.

The quarter final games for this year’s edition will be played between 22nd and 29th, April, 2018.
