SC Villa have officially unveiled goalkeeper Martin Ssenkooto as their latest signing in preparation for the forthcoming season.
Ssenkooto put pen to paper on a three-year contract and will turn up for the Jogoos until 2023 unless otherwise.
” I’m glad to sign for SC Villa. The best club in Uganda. I’m looking forward to winning trophies with the club.” Ssenkooto said in a video via the club’s social media platforms.
The youthful goalkeeper spent the better part of last season training with SC Villa but officially completes his long-awaited move to the record league holders from Mutundwe based Super Cubs Soccer Academy.
Ssenkooto has also previously featured for MUBs in the University Football League and lately Aidenal Entebbe in the Futsal Super League.
Ssenkooto’s quick reflexes, excellent game reading, a cool head in one on one situations and ball-playing abilities enticed SC Villa to add him onto their roster.
He will put up competition to Said Keni and another newly signed goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige for the club’s number one place.
SC Villa have so far unveiled Senkooto, Kibirige, Oyirwoth Goffin Geoffrey and left-back Andrew Kiwanuka. They are expected to unveil defender Nasser two-year who also signed a two year contract.
