SC Villa announce 35 man squad to be used in the 2021/22 season

Newly appointed SC Villa head coach Petros Koukouras has revealed his group of players to be used in the upcoming season that is expected to kick off in less than three weeks.

Among the 35, 20 of them have been retained from last season’s squad and Joseph Nsubuga remains the longest serving member of squad having joined Villa in 2016 from Bright Stars.

This website understands that former national U20 captain Gavin Kizito Mugweri will be named to anchor this young squad that is dominated by players below 25. Meddie Kibirige, Moses Kiggundu and Nsubuga have been also earmarked for the captaincy role.

Villa have already started training and their base is at Uganda Martyrs Grounds in Lubaga.

They will host their home games at FUFA technical Center in Njeru.
