The Jogoos won the first round meeting between the two sides 3-0 at Bugonga Fisheries grounds last year in November.

Maroons is the only side to pick a point at Masaka recreation grounds this season. Sc Villa have hosted 10 games, won 9, drew once, scored 14 goals and only conceding 2.

Masavu are also unbeaten in the second round of the season and have only managed 5 points out of the possible 15 in last 5 encounters.

Sc Villa tactician Wasswa Bbosa asserts that his team will not underestimate their opponents and will build on the previous game against Onduparaka to win the game. He says,

“We don’t underestimate any team because we take every opponent as a strong one. Masavu will come desperate for points but we are well prepared for them and i believe the win at Onduparaka will motivate us ahead of this game.”

The home side will be without midfielder Mahad Yaya through injury, the good news is captain Bernard Muwanga is back after serving his suspension that ruled him out of the Onduparaka tie over the weekend.

Sc Villa will look at in form duo of Martin Kizza and Godfrey Lwesibawa alongside goalkeeper Samson Kirya for inspiration.

Masavu will be without first choice goalkeeper Salim Wekiya due to a shoulder injury alongside Michael Ottimong who is out with a thigh injury. The good news is Patrick Ssenfuka has been named in the travelling 18 match day squad.

The visitors will hope their skipper Abraham Ndugwa continues with his impressive performances alongside Ddumba Sadala.

The pacesetters should have enough fuel in their tank if they are to burn up relegation threatened side Masavu at their own yard.
