SC Villa seek to close in on second placed KCCA as they take on Tooro United in Fort Portal in the only Saturday game.

Tooro United are bottom of the table with 22 points collected after 24 games and any other slip will mean huge blow as far as their survival hopes are concerned.

SC Villa are third on the table with 43 points and victory can take them to only four points below KCCA who drew with Proline on Tuesday.

The Jogoos come into the encounter seeking for a double over Tooro United having emphatically won the reverse fixture 4-1 in Bombo thanks to Ambrose Kirya’s brace and goals from Nicholas Kabonge and Faizal Muwawu.

The previous 13 meetings between both sides have seen Villa win seven times, four draws and only two Tooro United wins.

Tooro United lost their most recent league game 2-1 to fellow strugglers Proline at Lugogo a week ago.

SC Villa rallied from a goal down to defeat Bright Stars 2-1 in their last game thanks to Benson Muhindo’s brilliance.

Muhindo, Kirya, Emmanuel Wasswa, Amir Kakomo and Derrick Ndahiro among others have been intergral for Villa and will be expected to inspire the record champions in search another positive result.

Tooro will largely rely on their leading scorer Yafesi Mubiru, captain Mike Kawooya and Charles Musiige.

A draw can elevate Tooro United from the bottom whereas a win can push them to the 14th place.
