He acknowledges the fact that Ivory Coast are a more experienced side than his charges but all is not lost coming into the return leg, he said,
“The two goal margin is not big and we remain hopeful of overturning the result in Ivory Coast.
Ivory Coast is a strong team with a lot of experience when it comes to major tournaments and that’s why they exhibited such a great performance against us.”
“We learnt a lot from them and we can also get results away against them.”
Muwonge asserts that his side will have to correct their mistakes and improve on their attack ahead of the second leg contest.
“We shall correct our mistakes before the second leg and we also need to Improve on our attack.” We had a lot of chances that we did not take cost us a result.”
“The good thing we are still in the game and we are to work together to improve and get the needed results.”
Muwonge and his troops will need determination, focus and the best of luck to rise up the Ugandan flag in the second leg slated for 21st September.
