Nigerian born tactician Emmanuel Amunike has named Tanzania’s 25-man squad for their last and crucial AFCON qualifiers game against Uganda.

Star man and KRC Genk striker Mbwana Ally Samatta returns in the picture after missing Tanzania’s 1-0 defeat in Lesotho due to accumulated bookings.

Samatta together with Thomas Ulimwengu, John Rafael Bocco and Difaa El Jaddid’s Simon Msuva are expected to lead the Taifa Stars when they face Uganda Cranes on March 24th in Dar es salaam.

Nkana’s Hassan Kessey, Ismaily’s Yahya Zaid, Himid Mao of Petrojet and Tenerife’s Shaban Chilunda are other notable figures in Amunike’s selection.

Tanzania are currently third on the Group L table with 5 points and have to beat Uganda and hope Lesotho do not win in Cape Verde.

Uganda has already qualified and top the group standings on 13 points.
