“We played against one of the best teams on the continent and if not the best. We are delighted to have won massive three points and we hope to build on that heading in the next fixtures.

” We only need to win our games and see that we reach our target of advancing to the quarterfinals of the competition.”

Despite his impressive performance, Saddam is not satisfied and hopes to improve in the next games.

“I am not satisfied with my performance, this was my first 90 minute game since my return from injury and I have to improve a lot in the coming games and hopefully I can be there. The good thing the coaches and everyone at the club are doing everything possible to keep me fit.”

Saddam and his teammates will return to action in a league encounter with Bright Stars on Sunday 20th May.
