RWENZORI GROUP : Rampant Kiboga annihilate Bumate as Proline ease past Ntinda


FUFA Big League debutants Kiboga Young recorded the biggest win of the season so far after annihilating Bumate United 6-0 at the Bamusuta SDA playground in Kiboga.

The Felix Ssekabuuza coached team hit the front through Jamir Nvule inside the first six minutes of the game but had to wait for the second stanza to complete the rout.

Nvule completed his brace to take his season tally to 5 goals while Former Masavu FC striker Peter Lomolo also grabbed a brace for himself.

Substitute Makoyani Moses Wafula and left back Kizito Zakayo put the icing on the cake.

Victory keeps Kiboga Young in a point difference from the pacesetters Proline FC who outclassed Ntinda United with a 3-0 win at Lugogo.

Ivan Bogere, Ibrahim Wammanah and Bright Anukani were on target for the former Premier League side coached by Shafik Bisaso.

Bogere ended his goal drought with a sublime finish in the 26th minute that gave Proline a lead at halftime.

KCCA loanee Wammanah came off the bench to double the lead in the 80th minute before Anukani exquisitely made it 3-0 with three minutes to normal time.

The 3-0 victory springs Proline back to the table summit on 26 points accumulated from 12 games.

Proline had been temporarily dislodged by Kansai Plascon (24 points) who defeated Water FC 2-1 on Wednesday.

Kabale Sharp aggravated Kira United’s relegation fears with a 1-0 defeat in Kabale courtesy of Bosco Kyakuwa’s late strike.

Kira United are second from bottom with only 5 points collected from 12 league outings. Ntinda United sit on the base of the table with only 3 points.

Proline’s Bogere leads the scorer’s chats with 8 goals but faces stiff competition from Henry Kitagenyi of Kansai Plascon and Kiboga’s Lomolo who are both tied at 7 goals.
