Ruthless Gadaffi advance to promotion final after dispatching Nyamityobora

Gadaffi FC easily cruised past Nyamityobora FC with a 4-0 victory in the first semi final promotional play off at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

Looking better from the start, Ronald Bithum gave Gadaffi FC an early lead in the 19th minute by heading home Umar Kyeyune’s well delivered cross.

Eight minutes later Mark Bamukyaye doubled the lead for the Soldiers Boys converting from the spot after a foul play on Bithum.

Bithum completed his brace nine minutes to halftime time and made it 3-0 for Hassan Zzungu’s coached side.

Come into the second half Nyamityobora FC looked an improved side but could not find a consolation.

James Otim put the last nail in Nyamityobora’s coffin as he scored the fourth with only five minutes to full-time.

Nyamityobora FC’s Richard Makumbi for the second consecutive season has failed to guide his side to top flight.

Last season Makumbi was at Mbale Heroes and lost 1-0 to Mark Twinamatsiko’s Kitara FC that gained top flight promotion.

Gadaffi FC now await for the winner between Blacks Power and Proline FC to play the finals to determine the third team that will join Arua Hill SC and Tooro United in the UPL.
