The Uganda Cricket Association together with the Rotary Club of Kampala South introduced the game to it’s members on an event held on Monday, 27th January, 2020 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The event was graced by CEO of the Uganda Cricket Association Martin Ondeko, incoming Club President Jennifer Carolyn Byokusheka and Vice President Charles Odaga.
Members of the club were taken through the basics of the game by Interim National team head coach Davis Turinawe. Ladies were more interested in bowling whereas the gentlemen picked up the bats to smack the ball.

After they were divided into four teams that played four over games.
On the same occasion, Cricket Cranes players Deus Muhumuza and Charles Waiswa were welcomed into the Rotary Club of Kampala South.
UCA also gave out two National team replica Jerseys to incoming Rotary Club President Byokusheka and out going President Mukuru.
