The implication was that the former KCCA FC goalkeepers’ coach would not travel with the team to Tanzania.

However, this website has established that Kiwanuka is neither sick nor on leave but his absence is attached to something else (Disrespect).

” Coach Kiwa (read Kiwanuka) is neither sick nor on leave. He is just disappointed because of what he terms as disrespect.”

Revealed a source.

We are made to know that it all begun with the acquisition of new goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa who was brought in without Kiwanuka’ s consent yet he is responsible for the goalkeeping department.

“It all started with the coming of goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa. Coach Kiwa was not consulted and he saw this as an act of disrespect to him. ”

Concluded a source which preferred anonymity.

To make matters worse, head coach Wasswa Bbosa named Mutakubwa as part of the travelling squad and Kiwanuka decided to opt out.

For Bbosa to stamp his trust in the newly acquired goalie, he named him in the starting eleven in their Group opener against South Sudan’s Altabara FC and his trust paid off when he kept a clean sheet and helped the Ugandans to secure an early win.
