Canadian side Montreal Impact have agreed terms with KCCA FC on the signing roving left back Mustafa Kizza, as per reports in the Major League Soccer.

According to TVA Sports soccer analyst Vincent Destouches, on Saturday evening, the Montreal club concluded a transfer with KCCA and will soon add Kizza to their squad list.

Destouches, however, said that Kizza will not physically report to Montreal Impact in the coming days.

The formalization will be in the coming days, but he will not come to Montreal right away. There are no games or a regular season. There is no point in spending money on an international place if there are no matches.

Kizza will be expected to officially join the Thierry Henry coached side when this season’s MLS campaign concludes in August on a three or four year contract.

The youngster’s current contract at KCCA FC is bound to expire in January next year while the MLS secondary transfer window will officially open on August 12th.

It should be noted that Hassania Agadir of Morocco, FC Lausanne (Switzerland), Czech republic’s MFV Vyskov, Azam FC (Tanzania) and Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have all expressed interest in securing Kizza’s signature in the recent past.

Kizza scored five goals in the league last season and also managed 11 assists on top of guiding KCCA to a successful CECAFA Club Championship in July last year.

He also played an integral part as Uganda Cranes won their 14th CECAFA Challenge Cup at Lugogo in December, scoring two goals and assisting twice in the six games played.

Kizza will join Kenya’s skipper Victor Wanyama who plays for Montreal Impact as well as Uganda Cranes midfielder Mike Azira who is currently playing for Chicago Fire.

Montreal Impact compete in the Eastern Conference of the Major League Soccer (MLS) and host their games at Saputo Stadium.

They are coached by Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry.
