With only five games to the end of the road bottom placed Masavu FC hosts Mbarara City in a must win fixture for both sides in a bid to beat the drop.

Masavu FC is at the bottom of the log with 23 points from 26 games while their opponents Mbarara City are thirteenth with 27 points from the same number of games.

Masavu FC lost to Vipers SC 3-1 in their recent fixture and their only goal in that game was scored by Ivan Lubaale.

Mbarara City played to a 1-1 draw with SC Villa courtesy of Emmanuel Ibe Obinah who converted through a spot kick in the 90+ minute of the game.

The reverse fixture for both sides at Kakyeka Stadium Mbarara City won 1-0.

Masavu FC has out of the possible 33 points they have managed only thirteen having won three games, lost six and drew three on the thirteen games played .

Mbarara City has been a poor traveller and they are yet to register any away win in the season have lost seven and drawn seven and this is their last away fixture of the season.

Masavu FC will miss out the services of goalkeeper Mansoor Mutumba, Benjamin Nyakoojo and Micheal Otimong who are sidelined with injuries.

Skipper Abraham Ndugwa and the leading top scorer for Masavu FC with six goals will lead his side in search for a fourth win of the season home. Ivan Lubaale, Salim Wekiya and Arthur Ssemazzi will also be so vital on their side.

The Mbarara based side will miss out the services of Bassey Methodius, Elieza Okorie, Abdul Karim Kasule and Simon Ssentumbwe as they welcome back midfielder Sam Kansiime who was ruled out in their last encounter against SC Villa.

Emmanuel Obina will lead the Ankole Lions in attacking Joseph Mutyaba’s side.Obina has managed to score four goals in the last six games he has featured for his side.

Makweth Awol will also be vital in helping Mbarara City search for the first ever away win of the season he is the only player who has managed to score for Mbarara city on away games he managed a goal against URA in the first round and a second one against KCCA second round at Lugogo.

A win can not help Masavu FC leave the bottom of the log but increase on points and increase on their hopes of survival on the other hand their opponents a win can help them move from thirteenth to eleventh should other results be in their favour.
