Express FC will seek to put an end on Vipers’ unbeaten run that stretches from the first round of last season when the two sides face off on Wednesday at Wankulukuku.

The red eagles are on a back of consecutive comprehensive victories against Tooro United and Paidha Black Angels while Vipers seek to return to the winning ways after playing to two draws with Kirinya JSS and KCCA.

Vipers has won 12 of the 26 previous meetings between the two sides including last season’s double. Express has won 6 while 8 of the games have ended in stalemates.

Javier Martinez welcomes back his captain Taddeo Lwanga from a 2-game suspension, Aggrey Madoi from injury and Tito Okello.

Livingstone Mulondo and Davies Kasirye remain sidelined by injuries while Rahmat Ssenfuka is ruled out of the trip to Wankulukuku.

Kefa Kisala has almost his players available for selection save for an injured Ruben Kabuye. Isaac Mutanga returns to the team after missing out on the club’s trip to Arua last week.

Kisala will rely on the attacking combination of Eric Kambale, Mike Birungi, Tony Odur and Ibrahim Kayiwa who have enjoyed a fine form in the club’s previous games.

Dan Serunkuma will be facing his former side while Burundian goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora will be in spotlight after ditching Express to join Vipers few months ago.

Serunkuma together with Abraham Ndugwa, Duncan Seninde and Moses Waiswa are expected to lift the Kitende outfit past the stubborn 6-time champions.
