REAL STARS AWARDS : Mutanda targets national team call up after being crowned player of November


SC Villa forward and current league scorer with 9 goals Bashir Mutanda is delighted with the Real Stars player of the month of November award. He believes this will motivate him for more awards and aims at scoring more goals this season.

“I am delighted to have won the Real Stars player of the month of November and I thank my teammates at SC Villa for the support rendered to me.”

I believes this award will help in motivating me for more awards and keep focusing for more glorious moments. I assure Villa fans that I will score more goals and help the team improve our current league position.”

Mutanda also aims at receiving this senior National team call up.

“I am looking forward at playing for the national team but to achieve this, I have to continue working hard and exhibit great performances.”

Mutanda scored 4 goals and one assist in November. He beat Police FC’s Juma Balinya and URA FC goalkeeper James Alitho for the award which also comprised of five hundred thousand Shillings.

Mike Mutebi was named the coach of the month beating Police FC’s Abdallah Mubiru and Bright Stars Fred Kajoba.

In Rugby, Joseph Other of Dusapay Warriors was named the Rugger player of the month and in Netball, Stella Oyella of Prisons.
