As the second round of the FUFA Big league looms large, promotion hopefuls Kyetume FC have been one of the busiest sides in the transfer window.

They have let go of some dead wood and also made some important reinforcements including the return of former captain Yusuf Saaka from Arua Hill.

They however lost midfielder Stephen Kabuye to Arua Hill.

Here is a brief overview of how they did their transfer business.

David Mutono’s coached side promoted Mahad Zayid Ssetimba and Hakim Kyotakalire from the junior team.

Goalkeepeer Austin Opoka, Joshua Kigozi, Cephas Tarzan Kambugu and Felix Okot had their contracts terminated.

Steven Kabuye was lured by Livingstone Mbabazi to join him at Arua Hill.

He has already made an impact after scoring in their 2-0 victory over Police FC on his debut.

Cephas Kambugu and Felix Okot have been let go to join another big League side Maroons FC.

The Slaughters have brought in former Soana/Tooro United striker Steven Ategeka from Mogadishu City Club and Allan Mugalu from Arua Hill.

Deo Isejja was part of the squad they confirmed at the start of the season but didn’t play. He is expected to play an important role.

The Slaughters are third of the table with 17 points from 10 games a point behind table leaders Blacks Power and second placed Kataka FC.

Kyetume FC starts the second round on Thursday 10th February at Kosovo grounds Kasana against Luweero United.
