PREVIEW : Sserwadda starts reign at Wakiso Giants against Maroons

Deo Sserwadda will begin his tenure as Wakiso Giants interim head coach at home against Maroons FC on Tuesday evening

The former SC Villa tactician replaced Charles Livingstone Mbabazi who was sacked by the Wakiso outfit at the start of last week.

Wakiso come into this contest after humbling MYDA FC 5-0 at the round of 32 in the Uganda Cup tie while Maroons FC overcame Express FC 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 3-3 stalemate.

The Purples Sharks are now winless in three consecutive league games, drawn two against BUL FC and Bright Stars and a 2-1 defeat to Tooro United.

Maroons are also winless in their previous three league games, lost two against Bright Stars and KCCA FC and a 1-1 stalemate with Tooro United.

The two sides played out to a 2-2 all draw during their first league meeting this campaign.

Sserwadda’s charges will look up Viane Sekajugo, Hassan Wasswa Dazo and Gadafi Wahab for inspiration. They will however, miss the services of right back Atendele Geriga who is suspended after accumulating three yellow cards.

Steven Dese Mukwala the top scorer with 13 goals will be expected to again lift his side to maximum points.

A point separates the two sides, Wakiso are currently ninth on the Uganda Premier League log with 25 points whereas Maroons occupy tenth place
