Premier League Football At Stake As Mbarara City Takes On Synergy FC

Mbarara city look for top flight football, after defeating Ndejje on penalties after a 1-1draw in normal play.
Coach Richard Makumbi is confident his team will defeat Synergy to get promoted to the Azam premier league next season.

Makumbi is known for bringing various clubs to the topflight division that is Bunamwaya currently known as Vipers, SCOUL, BUL FC, Victors ,Fire Masters , Lugazi United, Rock Stars, Buikwe Redstars, Soana, K Mukono and Hoima Busia
The former Ssingo and Buwekula saza coach will be looking to add Mbarara city as the 12th club he has brought to Uganda’s elite competition.

However this won’t be an easy task since Brian Ssenyondo’s Synergy stand in Makumbi’s way.
Synergy come from Masaka a former base for Masaka local council whose relegation left the passionate fans yarning to have another Super league club from amidst them.
Sc Villa host their home games in Masaka recreation grounds now,but many fans are looking at it as an external club yet the likes of Synergy are typically their own with more players amongst the local population. Therefore, many football lovers are looking at Synergy to bridge the gap which was left by Masaka LC.

Synergy defeated Kira United by 3-1 to reach the promotional finals were they will meet Mbarara city.
The two met in the Rwenzori regular season and Mbarara city won the first leg at home 1-0 and Synergy won the return leg 2-1.
Both sides come in the encounter today at Philip Omondi with a lot of belief and ready to compete against each other.

A win for either side Synergy or Mbarara city will bring about that much needed passion, commitment and agony in Ugandan football as both teams have put up spirited fights in their previous games.
