Power seeks redemption while UCU seeks revenge

Record Champions Betway Power will host UCU Canons in an expected master piece action to night 8pm at YMCA Wandegeya.

Power come into the game after a shock result over the weekend where they lost 71-75 to Sharing Youths in a game that had Power ‘s  Micheal Makiadi scoring 29 points, Willy Nyimbere 17 and Guddi Nasser scoring 7.

Sharing’s points were fired in all corners from almost every player with Stephen Otoa as the lead scorer with 16 points, Tonny Okello scoring 14 and Tong Gatwech scoring 13 securing their revenge on Power in a regular season having lost to them 50-60 in the first round.

UCU  come into this game with a bit of confidence having defeated KIU Titans in their last game in a low scoring game that ended 57-37 in favour of the Mukono based side in a game UCU’s Titus and Jonathan Egau scored 13 and 11 points respectively while KIU Titans’  Chris Basheke scored 12 points  and Micheal Bwanga scored 8.

UCU will be seeking revenge on Power who defeated them by just one point in the first round losing 80-81 in a game where UCU’s Jonathan Egau scored  21 points while Fadhili Chuma managed to score 17 points.

On the same night, Power’s Micheal Makiadi scored 18 points while  both Isaac Afidra and Paul Odong scored 17 points just a point a bove their Captain Ikong Joseph who scored 16 as they went on to dominate the first and second  quarters 20-11, 35-28 before UCU pulling back leading the 3rd quarter 59-55 but Power wrapping it up in 4th quarter and in over time on 81-80.

Earlier on another Mukono based side in the Women’s category, UCU Lady Canons will take on KIU Rangers at 6pm.
