Nyamityobora FC head coach Asaph Mwebaze has hailed his team for the triumphant exhibition they put against Police FC at their own backyard.

He asserts that his young team should not settle on their laurels but rather soldier on as the battle to beat the drop has just started.


” It is very important to get three points away from home and I believe we are going to build on that victory as we face our next opponent Vipers SC.”

Mwebaze further commended the high level of confidence expressed by his team.


“Ibrahim Juma Dada managed to scored a hatrick but you can not rule out the great performance of the debutants Damien Nakalema and Fred Mayindi who has did a great job in the midfield.”

“We are having 9 games home and I believe if we continue with this attitudde and style of play I am very sure we are going to beat the drop.”

” I have tried to change the attitude of the players, building a lot of Confidence in them as they have to be committed by playing their hearts out after discovering what I want as a coach.” He added.

Nyamityobora managed to secure their third win of the season on matchday 16 taking them on 12 points though still lying 13th on the log of 16.

Abanyakare will be playing their next fixture on Tuesday February 5th against Vipers SC at Kakyeka Stadium Mbarara.
