Police piles more misery on relegation threatened Masavu.

Early goals from Sam Kayongo and Juma Balinya were enough to seal it for Police FC piling more misery on bottom placed Masavu FC.

In the 6th minute of the game Samuel Kayongo put the hosts in the lead through a volley off a Ben Ocen cross capitalizing on a lapse in the Masavu defense.

In the 22nd minute Juma Balinnya doubled the lead for the cops after another defensive lapse from Masavu defenders Sulaiman Ochero and Benjamin Nyakoojo.

Joseph Mutyaba was forced into an early tactical substitution in the 36th minute when he withdrew defender Moses Kiggundu for an offensive Ddumba Sadala.

Masavu nearly found a lifeline in the 40th minute but Ivan Lubaale failed to score a keeper to beat after being released by Abraham Ndugwa.

On coming back in the second half Arthur Ssemazzi was introduced for Godfrey Wasswa in the 54th minute by the visitors whereas Mufti Luzinda came in for Norman Ojik for the cops in the 62th minute.

Its was in the 76th minute that Ivan Lubaale found a consolation for Masavu after dribbling past a host of Police FC defenders.

Abraham Ndugwa wasted a chance to level matters in the dying minutes from a keeper to beat incident.

A win propelled Police FC from the seventh to sixth on 29 points as Masavu still lies at the bottom of the log with 19 points.

Both teams with play next on Wednesday 11th April 2018 as Masavu FC will be hosting Proline FC at Bugonga Fisheries Grounds and Police FC will pay a visit to SC Villa at Masaka Recreational Grounds.
