Police FC host reviving Mbarara City

Uganda Police Football Club will target bouncing to winning ways as they host reviving Mbarara City at Lugogo.

The Cops are fifth on the table with 20 points from 11 games while their opponents are 13th with ten points only a position above the relegation zone.

Mbarara City edged Kyetume FC 3-1 in their last game whereas Abdallah Mubiru’s side played to a two all draw with Soltilo Bright Stars.

The last six meetings between the two sides have seen Mbarara City win thrice, Police one and the other two ending in stalemates.

The visiting side will be without captain Tonny Mawejje, Ben Ocen, Edward Kiryowa, Bashir Kabuye, and Timothy Oyamo due to injuries.

But will look on Brian Mayanja Mululi who is the current leading scorer with eight goals, Johnson Odong Muwadda Mawejje and Hassan Muhamood for positive results.

On the other hand Mbarara City will be without Bashir Mutanda, Soulyamane Bamba and Solomon Okwalinga who are sidelined with injuries.

After maximum points Police will move to 23 points hence leapfrogging KCCA in the fourth position.

Mbarara City are thirteenth on the table with ten points and victory will elevate them to eleventh position.

The Ankole Lions continue to be under the stewardship of Sadick Sempigi who is on interim after the sacking of Brian Ssenyondo. His side will look on Muhammad Ssekeba, Jasper Aheebwa, Hilary Mukundane and Steven Othieno for inspiration.
