Police FC forward set to join Indian Super League club

Police FC forward Ben Ocen is currently in India for a trial stint with Indian Super League side Jamshedpur FC, Swift Sports understands.

Swift Sports sources reveal that Jamshedpur FC has been following Ocen in the local league and in case all goes well he will put pen to paper on a two year employment contract.

Ocen was part of the Uganda Cranes squad that won the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in Kampala last year.

He is one of the top performers in the Uganda Premier League with 11 goals.

He could join Henry Kisekka (Gokulam Kerala), Richard Kasagga (Aizawl FC), Isaac Isinde (Aciesta Trau) as other Ugandans in India.

Jamshedpur FC is an Indian professional football club based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The club is owned by Tata Steel, a subsidiary of the Tata Group.

It was founded on 12th June 2017, when Tata Steel won the bidding rights for one of the expansion spots in the Indian Super League. They host their home games at JRD Tata Sports complex.
